    Collecting baggage

    • Once you've been through Immigration, make your way to the arrivals baggage hall to collect your baggage.

    • If you're catching a connecting domestic flight, you need to collect your baggage, clear Customs, and then transfer your baggage to your domestic flight at the check-in area on the ground floor. Between 5:30am—9:30am, the check-in area is located in Zone C, and from mid-morning—7:00pm each day, it is located in Zone A.

    • If you're catching a connecting international flight you don't need to collect your baggage if it has been through-checked to your final destination. • If you have a connecting domestic flight, you can recheck your baggage at the main Air New Zealand check-in area on the ground floor after clearing Customs. Depending on the time of your domestic flight, this area will be in Zone C (5:30am—9:30am) or Zone A (mid-morning—7:00pm). If you've had your bags tagged and hold a boarding pass you can make your way to any open bag drop. If you don't have a boarding pass or have your baggage tagged, make your way to a self-service kiosk to check in before heading to the bag drop.

    • Give yourself at least two hours between arriving on your international flight and departing on your connecting domestic flight. If you have less than two hours, you can make your way directly to the domestic terminal with your baggage to check in.

    • To travel between terminals, you can jump on the complimentary terminal transfer bus that is located outside the terminal doors as you exit. The bus runs every 15 minutes between 5:00am and 10.30pm.

    • If you want to walk between terminals, follow the painted green line on the footpath outside each terminal.
